Valentina EDP

The fashion house of Valentino launches its new fragrance named Valentina in mid-September 2011. The fragrance, inspired by Rome and Italian flavors, is developed in collaboration with Puig and perfumers Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp.

The composition is designed as a fresh floral - fruity - oriental, full of contradictions, simultaneously delicate and strong, elegant, sensual, rebellious and fun.

It starts off with bergamot from Calabria and white truffles from Alba. Amalfi orange blossoms, sweet jasmine, tuberose and wild strawberries compose the perfume’s heart, settling on the base of cedar, vanilla and amber.

Valentina Assoluto (tester)

Valentino introduces a new fragrance Valentino Assoluto, the first variant on the theme of Valentina perfume from 2011. Valentina Assoluto deviates from the floral character of the original and offers instead an intense, mysterious and deep interpretation of the olfactory chypre character.

The composition is credited to perfumer Olivier Cresp who told wwd magazine that the new fragrance is “much more nocturnal, more seductive" than the original. Chypre is the theme chosen for its power and elegance, and the origins of ingredients are sought mainly in Italy.

Its top notes include Italian bergamot, Smeggia peach from Sicily and white Alba truffle from Piedmont. The heart exudes intoxicating tuberose flowers along with Mediterranean jasmine and soft vanilla from Madagascar. Its chypre base consists of silky cedar, oak moss and patchouli.


The bottle retains the same round shape with a slight design changes such as color of the glass (brown opalescent glass with ambery reflections). The campaign is shot by David Sims, featuring model Freja Beha Erichsen.

Valentino Uomo

Valentino and Puig are launching a new fragrance for men for the house of Valentino, and it has been promoted recently in sunny Venice. The idea was to create a fragrance that would be a classic of the future, aiming at men who strive for classics and like casual style. They select top quality for themselves – as announced by the brand. Valentino Uomo is closely connected with fashion collection Valentino, so Rome was an excellent choice for advertising campaign of the new perfume.


Perfumer Olivier Polge has signed the new creation for Valentino and created it with a traditional pyramidal concept (top, heart, base), where woody notes in the base are particularly highlighted in this edition. The composition opens with bergamot and myrtle, succeeded in the heart by roasted coffee combined with gianduja cream, on a rich base created of cedar and precious leather.


Valentino Uomo arrives on the market in the beginning of 2014 in Europe, Russia and the Middle East, while in 2015 it will be available in Asia, Latin and North America. Advertising face of Valentino Uomo is French actor Louis Garrelm, video advertisement is directed by Johan Renck, while photos were taken by David Sims.

Valentina Acqua Floreale


Valentina Acqua Floreale, a new version of Valentina perfume by Valentino from 2011 that already got its intensified flanker Valentina Assoluto launched in 2012, comes out in late January 2013. Topics of inspiration for the new fragrance are nature, summer garden, carefree atmosphere and sensuality.
This multi-layered floral composition is developed by perfumer Olivier Cresp. Initially, there are notes of bergamot and orange blossom that mingle with the heart of neroli, mimosa, tuberose and jasmine. The base is oriental, made of amber and patchouli.
The distinctive round bottle is adorned with a white flower surrounded by leaves this time. Model Freja Beha Erichsen was chosen again as the face of the campaign.
