Guerlain Homme L`Eau (tester)

Guerlain Homme L`Eau was presented in 2010 as an ice-fresh fragrance which opens with citrusy accords of bergamot, grapefruit and mint, adding geranium, rum and lime. The fragrance was created by perfumer Thierry Wasser, while the Pininfarina designers worked on flacon design.

The fragrance reinterprets the original composition of Guerlain Homme edition with much colder and fresher aromas.

Idylle

Idylle is the latest creation by Guerlain for mainstream distribution, introduced in September 2009. It has been created by Thierry Wasser and it is the first fragrance he created in his position as the succeeder of Jean-Paul Guerlain. This is how Wasser describes this beautiful floral perfume:

"It started with a rose. The rose was a blend of Bulgarian roses, the 2008 harvest being fruity, with overtones of raspberry and litchee. To this blend was added the Plessis Robinson rose, created by Jean-Paul Guerlain out of love for the past – an old rose with fruity accents and a pungent fragrance. This, in turn, was mingled with a chypre harmony, emblematic of Guerlain, composed of patchouli and white musk, selected for its warmth. And lastly came the bouquet that complemented the roses to perfection: lily-of-the-valley, lilac, peony, freesia and jasmine. And so the fragrance was born: a shower of flowers, of petals, of subtle yet incisive freshness, balanced by sensuality. A nectar of flowers, an ode to life and love, in the warm light of radiant jasmine and the darker warmth of chypre, to express an ambiguity of feeling, and musk, like the scent of cashmere on the skin, a comfortable, intimate, physical sensation. In this combination of the personal, sensual, emotional facet of chypre, and the physical aspect of musk, and the declaration of love with the bouquet of flowers, the inexpressible idea was expressed, tender and ethereal, sensuous and romantic, fleeting and eternal."

Insolence (tester)

Insolence is a new bold fragrance for young women. The face of perfume is the movie star Hilary Swank, the Oscar-winner for the main role in the 'Million Dollar Baby' film. This perfume will most probably surprise the Guerlain perfumes fans, as it is rather unusual, modern and fruity sweet. But, Guerlain is not afraid to surprise, and even provoke.

There is a delicate and soft violet waiting for you in the top notes, followed by red-fruits cocktail with raspberry domination. The heart is floral-sweet, composed of violet, rose, and orange blossom. At the end, sweet raisins and balsams together have joined iris and Tonka bean to round the composition. The creators of Insolence are Maurice Roucel i Sylvaine Delacourte, and the half-sphere bottle with the rose-like shaped stopper was created by Serge Mansau. The perfume was launched in 2006.

Guerlain Samsara

This is a classic for real Guerlain fans. The perfume was created by Jean Paul Guerlain in 1989. Sensual, sophisticated, woodsy fragrance, suitable for romantic dates, as well as for daily use. The top notes are juicy and fresh: bergamot, lemon, ylang-ylang, peach and green notes. The heart is blooming in opulent flowers: elegant jasmine, cold woodsy iris, luscious narcissus, violet and delicate rose. The base is composed of sandal wood, vanilla, Tonka bean, amber, and musk.
The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Paul Guerlain.

Shalimar


Shalimar was created by Jacques Guerlain in 1925, as a tribute to the legendary love story between Emperor SHAHJAHAN and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Before he became emperor his name was Prince Khurram. According to the legend, twenty- year-old Prince Khurram met a young girl, named Arjumand Banu at the bazaar where her family worked. Mesmerized by her beauty, after becoming emperor, he made her his wife as Mumtaz Mahal, meaning the "Jewel of the Palace". After the wedding ,the prince and Mumtaz were inseparable, in war and in peace. She had given 13 children to Shahjahan and died during the birth of their 14th child at the age of 39. Her death devastated Shah Jahan and had built Taj Mahal in memory of his wife and their undying love. Shalimar is named after ‘The Gardens of Shalimar’.It was Mumtaz’s favorite garden. Shalimar is one of the best selling perfumes ever and its magic is undeniable. Perfume is composed of citrus notes; lemon and bergamot, jasmine, may rose, opoponax, Tonka bean, vanilla, iris, Peru balsam and gray amber. Coolness of the citrus notes leads to floral heart ending with a warm and luxurious trail.
